We all come to the water in our own way and with our own purpose. Occasionally, a little change, whether it be purpose, or location, adds a bit of flair to the endeavor of fly fishing. I can think of no better way to seek adventure on the water than through Wyoming's Cutt-slam program.

The State of Wyoming is home to four cutthroat trout subspecies each named for their home river watershed: Yellowstone, Snake River, Colorado River, and Bear River. The goal of the cutt-slam program is to push anglers out of the comfort zone, seek new species of trout on new waters and, in doing so, explore a portion of the amazing state of Wyoming that may have otherwise gone overlooked.

Participating in the cutt-slam challenge is easier than you think! Catch one of the four subspecies in it's native waters, take a clear picture along with the date and location, then, when you've caught all four subspecies of cutthroat trout, submit your online application.

The best part of all (other than the fishing, exploration, adventure... well you get the point) is that there is no time limit on completing the challenge. As Wyoming Game and Fish state on their website, the challenge can be completed in a day or a lifetime. It's completely up to you!

So, what are you waiting for? Take the first step in your next fly fishing adventure and checkout the Wyoming Cutt-slam program!
